MARCHING TIGER MEET & GREET

On Wednesday, September 26, 2012, Marching Tiger Alumni will be hosting its annual homecoming Meet & Greet for the Marching Tiger Band at 7pm, in the band room. The Meet & Greet is a “food and fun” event held for the students to help celebrate homecoming and to give us, alumni, a chance to give back to the band and to meet the students.

Feeding the students is a big part of this occasion and your contributions, in the past, have helped to make this event a success. This year I am asking for your contributions again. You can contribute any food or drink item of your choice (i.e. finger foods, sandwiches, chicken, veggie trays, fruit trays, juices, desserts, etc…). Items should be dropped off on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 between 4:30pm and 6pm in the band room.

We are preparing to feed approximately 100 band students. Please contact me via Facebook or jhsbandalum@yahoo.com, to let me know what item you will be bringing. Thank you in advance for your contribution.

MTA DARIUS BARKER: FROM MARCHING TIGER TO MARCHING WILDCAT

Shout out to one of our own, MTA Darius Barker, who is coming up as a Marching Wildcat. This is a shot of him at the MEAC-SWAC Challenge held here recently in Orlando. We're very proud of Darius. He is P Phi P alum and DM alum.

TIGERS CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF NEW STADIUM

Hello MTA family Jones recently celebrated the opening of its new stadium. The Mighty Tigers played their first game against Lake Wales and walked away with a victory (20-17). Check a few photos from the game and MTA hanging at to support the Tigers and the Marching Tigers.

HOMECOMING 2012 T-SHIRT INFORMATION

Hello MTA family. You can now order your t-shirts for Homecoming2012. MTA Karen M. Fedrick-Morris will be handling the orders. Shirts are $8 for S-XL, add $3 for 2X and up. All shirts will be personalized with the following information ONLY: first name or last name or nickname, class year, and band slogan (band slogan will be on all shirts). Message Karen with your t-shirt information. She will start collecting money next Tuesday at the band room 5pm-7:30pm. Cash or money orders only. Make money orders out to Karen Morris. ALL MONEY IS DUE SEPTEMBER 18, 2012. Please spread the word to any alumni you know. This information will also be posted on our blog and Twitter. Thanks everyone.

ALUMNI BAND SCHEDULE FOR HOMECOMING 2012

Hello MTA family. If you are interested in playing in the stands this year, practices will begin Monday, August 20, 2012 at 7pm, JHS band room. Practices will be every Monday and Wednesday at 7pm. See practice schedule below. If you have any questions, contact jhsbandalum@yahoo.com.

We are working on adding more events so please stay tuned.
